Stepping Stone

Just like the grey heads do say,
Misfortunes are blessings in disguise.
Many often miss the real deal.
And they throw away the big meal

We keep chasing the wind,
Fighting the battles we cannot win
But if just may we value what we have,
We may be marvelled at what we are

A drop is like an ocean in the nib,
It has the zeal it needs to gig
And all it takes is time to bloom
Like the lilies Father grew for us to groom

No step can be too small,
If you have to climb that wall
Just step it up with your all,
And rise again from your fall

Things take time!
And time make things
So the less you have today,
The more have you tomorrow

Time never promises a thing.
It just got to be there.
If only value we may, our relics,
Better we may, our physics

Every day is just another day!
For the ant to find a better way
So however little maybe your own,
Still see it as your stepping stone

Life Advices 001

Life is like a mirror,
Hanging upon the wall
She reflects what she sees
So you should be careful,
About the many choices,
You make every day
If you see life as beautiful and kind,
As compassionate but delicate,
And if you go on to live her,
As innocent as a new born child,
As peaceful as the lilies and roses
Trust me; but on your own instincts
Your seeds shall bear fruits
You'd marvel at what you'd find
And posterity will conspire
To help you achieve your heart desires
Because, life is best lived,
If she's lived for the good of all

Life Advices 000

Life is a general battle.
Sometimes,
It goes well for some people
Other times,
It goes against the same people
So when you're fortunate once upon a time,
Do not hesitate to be kind
Find yourself in between your misgivings,
And fight your way to the concluding
But in everything that you do,
Remember, to do it for the good

LESSONS LEARNT FROM BEING KIND (a short story)

LESSONS LEARNT FROM BEING KIND

A wise man once set off on a long journey through a dangerous forest to a distant land. He had to meet an old friend for an urgent favor. The journey will last for about a week on foot and he was on foot. On his way, he met a couple of people traveling the woods. He was later on joined by another lone traveler going to a village close to where he was heading. This man has a different understanding to life all together. He doesn't believe in a lot of things. In short, he doesn't believe that being 'kind' is a virtue worth dying for. He believes that people who believe in things like love, kindness just like the first traveler, live in fools' paradise. According to him, the world and life for that matter are not fair and are not to be trusted. So he therefore believes that being generous does not really pay as initially thought. The first traveler on the other hand believes in love, kindness and more...

Halfway through their journey, they were running out of provisions and so started their rationing plan. As they continued their walk through the quiet woods, they came across a big tree with a restful environment. Feeling tired as they were, they decided to rest over so that they can continue their trip when they regain enough energy later. While resting, another lone traveler stopped by too. After short pleasantries, the third traveler voiced his grievance, 'I am really hungry. Please can I get something eatable from you my cultured friends?' As if it were something bad to ask, the second traveler asked him sharply, 'haven't you prepared for the trip before setting off? But before the third traveler answers, the first traveler have already offered him water to drink to quech his thirst. After drinking the water, he then turned to the second traveler and said in calm voice, 'I was robbed off my belongs before I covered halfway of my journey'. The first traveler gave part of his remaining provisions to the third traveler who went another way later on.

When the two travelers covered about 80% of the entire distance, the first traveler runned out of provisions. His fellow started criticizing him for having given part of his limited provisions to someone he barely knows snd might never meet again. But he told his fellow, 'I did not give my food to the stranger because I hope he will pay me back some time to come. I did so because it gives me a sense of peace and purposeful achievement as a human'. On the fifth day, they came across a river which they must cross in order to continue. They must pay a fare in the form of belongings before they can cross over. Meanwhile, they both do not have enough possession to cover the cost charged by the service providers. The river is the only thing preventing them from reaching their destination. Just when all hopes seems gone; when they were just about deciding to return to their source region, something interesting happened.

There was another traveler who was about to cross the same river. He noticed how disturbed the disappointed travelers were. So he offered to pay their fare after hearing their sad story. When they crossed over to the other side of the river, he offered to pay for them to use chariot so they can reach their destination with much ease since they are out of provisions. He further offered them 3 pieces of gold each to use to get what they might need at their destination. The second traveler was marveled at the degree of kindness shown by the fourth traveler. He decided to ask the kind man for the motive behind his good deeds, and he replied with a soft and genteel voice saying... 'my parents taught me to share what I have with others and I will never lack. But I don't really do it for that any more than I do for the peace and fulfillment it brings to my soul'. They thanked the kind traveler and continued their traveling but this time, using a chariot pulled by two horses.

They arrived after four hours ride, at then end of a journey which would have lasted for about 10 to 12 hours on foot. On their arrival, the second traveler called the first and told him that he have learnt a lot from the act of kindness and is beginning to understand what a great bearing it has on love; the center of life. He told him about how his life will change from that day on. He also mentioned how kind he is going to try to be generous for the rest of his life. And he also said he will make it a point to spread the gospel of kindness hoping to have the same gratifying effect on many human families as much as he can reach with his messages.

Moral Lesson:
Givers never lack.
Givers are happier people.
Kindness is a virtue worth dying for.
Kindness is the symbol of love.
Love is the center of life.

Friendship is Precious

A friend is someone who knows and understands you,
Sometimes, even better than you do
He is that special someone on whom you can count
To save you from yourself and from your blunt

Friends are special gifts from God,
They're destined to change whom we are forever
As precious as they are, nothing can take their places ever,
Because of the memories they write on our hearts

Your friend is the person that embraces your weaknesses,
Encourages you to go for what your heart desires
Friends provide us with that special companionship
Which keep driving us to our championships

How inconceivable, the quality times we share with friends,
And how indelible; those moments lasting lifetimes.
How immeasurable, the support we have from friends,
And how much more it means when they are gone.

A friend is an irreplaceable element of life;
That well seasoned ingredient which makes life, live-worthy
People find theirs in many things other than the human family
But no friendship can be compared to that of humans

So if you ever found a friend,
Please do everything you can to keep it alive
Because a friend is the best gift life ever have
And it's the force that keep the human family thriving.

He'd See Us Through

Because the love of the Creator
Sinks deeper than deepest,
Because His graceful wings
Spread across every field,
And because His merciful arms
Reaches every edge of the Earth,
He'd always see us through!
Yes! He'd always see us through;
The fast days,
The slow months and
The long years
Through the lime lights,
The dark nights and
The blissful twilights
Through the fears,
The pains and
The failures
The Good Lord,
Will always see us through
Many, are those who couldn't make it,
To yet another beautiful end of year
Many are those who made it,
But in hopeless conditions
Many are those who made it with nothing short of joy
And many are those who made it with a renewed spirit
Because, the Lord did saw us through
Beyond our pitfalls and outfalls,
Before our enemies and frenemies,
We soar like eagles in the wild
Because the Lord is our guide
We conquer without fear,
Because He's in our Spear
And we trod in peace fro and to
Because He'd always see us through
Even when times get hard,
And things run out of control,
We still have the Rock of Ages!
We still have the Conquering Lion
He'll fight our battles without iron.
For He promised to see us through

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

Once upon a time, there lived a wise king in a rich kingdom. He had three wives and many children. His third wife was very bitter and jealous. She simply hated everyone; particularly, the second wife of the king. She hates her so much because she appealed more to the attention of the wise king. 'Maybe she's using magic on him.' She'd thought.

One day, the unimaginable happened; the king died after a short sickness. On his sickbed, he was mostly cared for by his second son. Before the king died, he told his son a secret about a hidden treasure. 'Don't tell anyone about this until you are in my position; not sure of the future. You've earned this right because of your loyalty to me as a son.' He said. The young man did kept the secret.

After the funeral rites, family meetings were held and kin-ship questions were asked. It emerged that the first son will become the king. The second son was the next in line to fill that position. That further hurt the bitter queen. 'So my son will be the next in line with these 'brats' out of the way. We shall soon see!' She acclaimed to herself.

Months after the funeral rites, the third wife finally had a grand scheme to have the king and his next brother killed. 'That way, my son will become king and I can then rule in disguise.' She thought.
There was an invitation extended to the king from another kingdom, far across the stream. He announced he would love to honor it but with his second brother. The bitter woman thought she has finally found a way to 'kill two birds with just a stone in a hand.' She quickly arranged for tugs to be ready to assassinate the king and his brother on their way.

When things were set for the journey, something came up. The third, instead of the second son will make it with the king. The bitter woman never learnt about this turn of events early enough. His killers succeeded in ambushing the king and his second brother. Fortunately or unfortunately, only the king and his chief guard survived the ambush. Everyone else, was killed, including the third son.

The bad news got to the kingdom; overwhelmingly tragic. The pain and sorrow was unbearable. The bitter queen could not hold it any longer. She suddenly started confessing... 'Aaooouuuuuhhhh.... I am responsible for this abomination. I killed my own child. I am very sorry for doing this. It should've been Samson and the king. But oh no! I have killed my own son. Hmmmm...what have I just done?'

Among the observing crowd was a very old woman. She stepped forward and said... 'We're sorry for you, bitter woman! Yes, we really are! But, you've just reaped what you sowed. Don't dig a trap-pit, you might fall in it...

MORAL LESSON
Life is like a mirror, it reflects back to you how you live it.
You reap what you sow.
If you dig a trap-pit, you shall fall in it.

Is the Universe Our Friend?

They say my shoes are old and blown
Yet, they never get me another one
They say I lack a home of my own
And that I may never drive a car of my own

Because I have holes in my shirts,
And that I sleep on the street,
They call me a misfit
And learning that very much, hurts

No one knows my story
How much suffering I deal with
No one cares about my pains
And for that alone, I am very sorry

You change your clothes everyday
And I am your witness
You buy new mansion everyday
And I have the street to impress

Maybe I just have to accept,
That the universe is not my friend
That whatever I desire for my sect,
She'd always conspire to destroy

I'm just another street boy in the press
With another touching story to tell
So if you think I'm not trying to impress,
Wait until you hear me ring my bell.

Credibility for the street seems too expensive
But with nothing more to live for,
I'm living to defend its last worth
Like the last man standing after the great walls fall.

Mysterious Death

Death, oh mighty death!
How mysterious your reign on earth,
That nothing living today can miss,
No wonder, you have earned your name
How cruel of you?
How unmerciful of you!
And how aggressive of you!
You alone takes what belongs not to you,
But yet, goes scot-free
You alone honors invitation not extended to you
You break the heart of people
Yet still, you answers to no man
You have no respect for age nor class
And the victims you prey on seem defenseless
Against your painful sting
You are deaf to the plea of the innocent
Reaping where you never sowed
You are like the thief that comes in the night
To steal what's dear to the heart of its owners
You destroy families and species
And you are the prime threat to our survival

Please there is only one thing you must know,
You can't continue like this forever
There is a Force that transcends your abilities
Your time of reign shall soon come to pass
And you shall be dead, like really dead
You shall be dead never to die again
And the human family will live never die again

...Those Who Dares

If you want to make it quick,
Then you must learn to make it on your own
But if you want to make it big,
Then never you dare attempting it all alone

The world belongs to those who dare,
Not those who hopes
It belongs to those who step up and act,
Not those who sit down and wait

So coil out from your shell,
And step miles away from your comfort place
Dare whatever it's that exists in you,
Think outside the box and play beyond the rules

Refuse the status quo because the quo has lost the status,
Refuse to settle for mediocre because it's got a low bar
Refuse to do it the way 'it's always done' and set a new mark
And refuse to be abused, reused and to be refused

The generation need a new force in you,
You must become too relevant to be ignored,
Shape your person to be aligned with your world
So you can lead the next revolution with pride

But in everything that you do,
Be just, be daring, be diligent, be patience,  be concerned and mostly, be you
Because you are the captain commanding your ship
And only your instincts can be right after all.

Unite Africa

There is strength in unity.
That conscious state of collectivity
Ignites our senses of community,
And ensures our collective security

Should we stand together,
There'll be nothing impossible to our tents
Every breath counts, every ounce counts
If we must move forward as a continent,

A United Africa will not be problem-free
But there will be enough eyes watching
There will be enough hands on deck
And there will be enough energy flowing through our grids

A United Africa will see her problems as one,
She will seek solutions in a unified accord
She will be unstoppable in utilizing her potentials
And so she will never depart from the path of success

A United Africa will be better placed in the global system
To defend herself from the thorns growing around her
To empower herself to steer her own affairs
And to liberate her future from international immorality

Yes,we can!
We can reach further than further
If we agree and go together as one
We can cross several streams and borders
With our halves joined as one

Unite Africa now,
For the good of the entire human world
And for the good of our very own future

Believe in You

Like your shadow that never leaves you,
Never leave your passion behind
Take her along with you wherever you go
Make her your friend; your partner in crime
You need her like the plane needs its propellers

Don't follow your passion as many will advise,
Rather, be in charge and dictate your rise
Keep it cool, keep up at the pace you can
Because life is never a race,
It's not about who you're bigger than

Stay true to your dreams.
You can make it across every stream.
Rome was never built in a day,
Neither will your dreams bloom in a day
It takes nothing less than time for the young to grow.

Believe in you, believe in your works.
You need to, because that's how it works.
Our weaknesses unmakes us in many ways
But our strengths remakes us in many more ways.
So be at your best any day anyway
Because it's your best chance at making it happen

Who Knows...?

I'd rather die trying doing my best,
Than live settling for the worst
Because every good effort surely pays,
No matter how long the fruit delays

Hope for the best in everything,
But don't take that as an advice,
Take it as a law; it applies to everything
Life's gains come with prices

Whatever your metaphor of life,
You still must be careful with your dive
Because the way isn't free as the sky
It's hooked by some truths and some lies

Don't believe what everyone thinks,
It will only head your life for a brink
Be sure your water is clean before you drink
That's how you can unlink your odd-links

So in everything that you find your hand,
Keep your heart on the middle stand
Who knows when your labour will pay?
Who knows what awaits you today?

Benefit of Letting Go...

Someone asked me these... What do you do when you think you've lost it all? How do you manage the hurt and the pain deep within? How do you cross that road and make things work out for you? Well, my reply is that many people just find it too difficult to let go when the feeling goes deep. They chose to cling to the past and it ceases not to amaze and kill them every now and then.

But then, letting go all gives more space for your desires to be let in. Consider your heart as a basket that you send to the market to collect stuffs. Each item you place inside takes up space which can never be made available until that item is no more inside. The heart also create space to take up what it is fed and each and every item that is kept in your heart takes up space that can only be made available when such items are removed.

So in order for you to kill your pains and heal your wounds, you must create space for the pleasant something you are desiring. Create space to accommodate your heart desires by letting go of the things that make you cry, the things that make you lose yourself for no good reason and the things that pose threat to your survival.

See You on Your Way Up the Ladder

What if tell you it is never going to be too late for you to bake your bread? What if I tell you it's never too late to start whatever it is that you must in order to set your woods ablaze? And what if I tell you that it's not a contest, not a drama and not comic but rather, reality; what we live alive? Will you be discouraged if I tell you it's not easy even for those you envy? Will you be willing to take a pause and rescind some decisions if I tell you not all that glitters are gold? And will you not nag, but sigh, will you not frown, but smile if I tell you about how many must fail even at the hundredths attempt because of obvious reasons?

Well, I am not telling you all that to make you lose hope in your rope because you have power in you, more than anyone can estimate. Listen to that silent vibration deep in you, it is called zeal and it is your call to be that which you have always pictured. You have the desire, let such be your urge and turn that into the surge that will merge your edges for the better. Nothing good doing is ever too late to be done and that means now is the right time if you still can. Do not let what the society says be your driving force, not everyone believe in miracles. While dreams may forever remain rhetoric, let your reality go beyond the physic.

For as many nos as you have received, attach ten times more yeses in your heart and put that into work no matter how small and trust me, your story will be glorious. It is but what your mind conceive, your heart believe and your hand works at that you can really achieve. Ask for guidance if you need knowledge, be diligent in all your dealings, be optimistic in all your doings and you shall attract good will to your coffers.

Nothing good doing is ever too late to do. So be ready to mend that heart you have broken, repair the frame you have damaged and heal the hurts you have inflicted. Do not let simple things like 'thank you', 'please I am sorry' and 'forgive me' depart from your mouth because they easily heals the wounds we cause others. Until you have become the figure in your dreams, they will remain but only dreams. See you on your climb up the ladder.

Young and Wild

My heart is as pure as
A drop of ice from the heavens
My eyes are as watchful as
That of a mother-eagle in focus

I am young and wild,
So I'll have nothing to lose,
Because all I have is hope
Buried in me like gold

All I must do is grow,
From this girl to that woman
To be the epitome of love,
Indispensable to have

Wisdom is the treasure I seek,
From the calabash I drink
Painting my thoughts in grey,
Revealing the reasons for I pray

My thoughts are my lenses within,
So I pray to exude them in beams
Beauty in nature is an inspiration
To the given and to the learned

Dreams Come Through...

Dreams come through they say,
So keep dreaming big everyday
But I think they come through
To only those who believe in them

However humble your beginning,
Belief in yourself is the key
To unlock the unimaginable
And to soar with the eagles

You are powerful beyond contending
So please quit the pretending
And rise up to the occasion
The world owe you a standing ovation

The ocean was once a drop of ice
The nile was once a splash of water
The forest was once a shrub of grass
And Rome was once a piece of stone

But time changes all things,
From grass to grace,
From edge to full scape
Time is the master of all things

The Power of Self Rediscovery

There's so much power in the self in you that, it will take just reckoning such power to unleash your potentials. You're the first to believe in you, the second to encourage you and the last to do the opposite. This is because you know yourself better than anyone can because you are powerful beyond measure. A deeply deeper look into your inner being is key to knowing who you're, what you are made of as well as what you can or not achieve. Do not let the current spate of academic discordant, economic breakdowns, social disequilibrium and the spiritual misleadings bring you down. Your fight is not against the world, it is against the inner you. Trust me, too many people see the world in a way 'it aught to be' instead of facing it just the way it is. Such is a contributing factor to the gross misgivings we cannot fully account for. But if you can pause in life, sigh for a while and look into the deeper you, your potentials can be unleashed.

The saying; whatever your mind can conceive, your heart must believe for your hands to achieve is my daily therapy. The therapy that keep my blood boiling to do something new everyday and to live everyday as though it is my last. It's the same reason why I refuse to settle for the average and accept other people's definition of whom I am and can or not become. I know I am powerful beyond contending because there's only one of my kind in this existence, in those past and the ones to come; how wonderful. The disregard for the power of focus keeps us away from reaching our goals. It's focus that will reveal what's in the subconscious mind and allow the mind to see its beauty and strength above all. Until the mind receives confirmation of ideality, the heart will never be prepared to believe what it exudes. The heart won't get connected to the physique for a common cause unless it believes what it feels. Now, you can tell me about why you need to discover and rediscover your true being, your true persona.

The specialty you have can never be harnessed to metamorphose you into the unlimited entity you can become, unless it is identified. You need not the two eyes in their sockets to see and understand yourself, you rather need the third and inward looking eye that only you can visualize. Knowing yourself; your sums, your products, your quotients and your differences makes you the most powerful person you can ever be. It in the first place tells you exactly where to place yourself in the world/market. It tells you when to go extra than you can and propels you to achieve the odd just like that. That is the secrete of the successful people you know, they first learned to understand themselves and then went on to understand others and landed on how to be an efficient factor in their lives. They try to solve problems, thinking international but yet acting local in the true sense. They begin in many ways, meet several drawbacks, persist in the absence of motivation only to make it to where they never planned to.

These are not things to do to be rich or something like that. They are things to be done to break odds and become more than your dreams. To be at peace, to be comforted and to be truly happy, you need to rediscover yourself in its strict sense.

Sufferer

I am the true definition of suffering
Not because I have never bought
And or wore in my entirety,
A new shoe and a new shirt
Nor because I can hardly afford
A three -square meals in a day
Not because I am sleepless at night
And restless during the day
Nor because I lack true friends
Who really deserve the accolade
Not because I work the hardest
And yet get paid the less
Nor because my great efforts
Seem to be denied the reckons
Not because I was born into suffering
And will probably die suffering
Nor because I enjoy suffering so much
So that I'll love to dine suffering
I am the true definition of suffering
Because I am a true sufferer
