YOU AND THE ENVIRONMENT

They say your health is your wealth
So seek yours with all what you worth
Remember your life is priceless
And treat your environment with niceness

Before you dump your rubbish indiscriminately,
Think of the harm you are causing passionately
We spend billions annually on curing our sicknesses
Instead of thousands on controlling wastes with readiness

The Rivers, lakes and lagoons running downstream
Give us water, shells and fishes that swim
So please stop polluting them with your toxic
You are risking the future of our species and families

The air that we breadth needs to be clean
But some things we do, sends harm there in
The factories and the moving turbos burning
Pollute the pure air we've since been inhaling

Had our environment a mouthpiece of this kind,
She'd have inform us of our inordinate pleas
To satisfy the greedy desires beneath our feet
And how we can restore peace and keep the Earth bind

If you don't know how related you are to your environment
Then you are signing up for her endangerment
You are your environment and she is you
So be friendly and she'd be friendly too

Save your environment from this eminent ambush
To the causes that matters, add a push
For if your health is your wealth,
Why not buy it with all what you're worth?

DREAM WITH PRIDE

You can do everything you want to
And you can do the unimaginable too
But you'll have to do more than just try
If you really mean to soar in the sky

Dream with pride but live with care
Drive your tide to where success spares
Spare yourself from the conspirators' company
So you can relate with your inner persona

Fear is a default gene in everyone's anatomy
People just choose to lose theirs like the 100's Bellamy
Especially for things they have no control over
And most times, to things they could turn over

For every yes you receive however,
There are multiples of nos wherever
So make your moves while you still can
Since there seem no guarantee for a second span

But you need to be the inner you
To leave bright tracks into the blue
Nothing can or should stop you
From writing your special book

The oceans are drying and the fishes are dying
The forests are burning and the wild is widing
We seeking answers but they keep on lying
Risking the future we've long been eyeing

They give separate information to the masses
And reserve some facts for the classes
This is the cause of the everlasting clashes
That mounted the tall wall around the masses

But the hour hand has finally landed
At the docks of the next generation
Change is the only load on board
For a complete system restoration

I am not asking for a revolution; this isn't a revelation
But I have this strong feeling, things are resetting
There soon come a new world from the ashes of the old
So keep your eyes open for the flying signals

Let's join the search team for some solutions
To the challenges unsolved by our colleges
Our ecosystem is shrinking; is the cause not pollution?
Please let's save the last surviving village

EDUCATION IN AFRICA

So I have been thinking about the African definition of education
The one that is translated into the academic curricular
Which lay the very foundation upon which we base our quest
Our quest to find lasting mechanisms for our good

But I am disappointed every time by the findings
Because there seem to be chaos everywhere but in disguise
And so I am asking the questions they have been masking
Hopefully to unravel the stories still untold in time

What do we intend achieving with the young members of society?
What should we use to drive home this package?
How best can we ensure its efficiency without anxiety?
And is there any hope for those caught in its wreckage?

I think we are the architects of our constant instabilities
Because we have explored to the point of explosion
But we still fail to utilize the most out of our little notions
And we rather end up consumed by our unlimited capabilities

I say this because of what education seems to stand for in Africa
We portray her as the precious bride from the West
But she is just part of the social mainstream
A concept that forms the basis of the thrive of the human family

Education in Africa seems to be asking the wrong questions
Looking at the opposite direction of its supposed focus
By so doing, education in Ghana, Nigeria and other African states
Keep arriving but at the solutions that doesn't solve their problems

Open your mental screens to imagine what am about to tell you
In Africa, the young are taught American and European concepts
Trained to understand how the West and the East collide
But never offered the same level playing ground
As that at the disposal of our foreign counterparts
We are being prepared for a future that is either lost or not in existence
This is because we have different resources to attain our ends
And hence we require different styles of education
If we are going to really be of any returnable use to our societies
Why then do we dominate our systems with foreign priorities?
Are we blinded by our egos so that we sacrifice our future?
For but what we so much value and yet fail to utilize?

Don't tell me it's because of colonialism
That we have come to intrinsically love everything European
What about our undying desires for the American taste?
Did America also colonized us or is it because America was a British colony?

We have minds that reflects and discern on issues
Hearts❤ that are tender and caring to the plight of others
What should it cost us to start thinking upright?
I mean to start believing in the African dream of a better world?

We are promised better incentives after higher education
But we lack the industries that can employ our graduates
Is there a line we are missing from the database?
Or our leaders are simply not telling us the truth?

I mean, I am not against what we import from the West or the East
But we should not deviate from our obvious sense of direction
The fact that we regard foreign education
Shouldn't be the reason we work hard to undermine ours
